Asset Management and Depreciation Calculations

SouthWare's Fixed Asset Management system is a streamlined system for tracking,
valuing, and depreciating your assets. It keeps track of the location and
values of your various equipment, furniture, machines, and buildings. It allows
up to three depreciation methods per asset - book, tax, and other. It
automatically calculates depreciation for straight-line, declining balance,
sum-of-the-years digits, and statutory (tax) methods. It handles usage-based
depreciation methods such as machine hours or mileage. Partial period
conventions of daily, full-year, half-month, half-year, mid-month, mid-quarter,
and mid-year are standard. The depreciation is automatically handled, and you
can post the depreciation, asset additions, and assets dispositions directly to
the SouthWare General Ledger System.
